The one behind fate
Aug 2020

Personal illustration, experimenting with lighting and seldomly used colors. Meant to be a blog header.
snapshot of the void
Feb 2021
Personal illustration, impulsively made. Inspired by the strong contrast traditional illustrations CLAMP made for Tsubasa.
Augustian wasteland
Sept 2021

Summer illustration of 2021, inspired by shapely interior viz-dev renders. A simple idea invoking a 'rain of sand' and the contrasts that would go with it.
The character, Diệp Bách Sa, is seemingly plagued with destitution of her surroundings, a plight that she doesn't understand but is guilty of regardless.
Mirrored reality
Feb 2021

A demonstration of my love for water ripples and the narratives behind twins and copies. Some of the most fun I had with negative space and ink painting.
Candy biter
Dec 2021

Quick and fun illustration based on a strawberry palette. Solidarity to impatient people who always bite their candies.
Neon
Aug 2021

A simple illustration with colors I think are cool, meant to be an introductory image on a pinned Tweet.

Will
Feb 2021

Illustration for Patreon supporters, celebrating the will to break through adversity of Ushiromiya Jessica.
A visit, in autumn
Oct 2020

Illustration for Patreon supporters, mostly centered on the wonderful blue-yellow combo associated with autumn.
Deep in crimson
Nov 2020

Submission to VOCALOOK 2020, a fashion-centric community collaboration VOCASynth characters.
Outfits featured are the masculine and feminine forms of modern áo dài, depicting MEIKO through a Sapphic lense. The composition was heavily inspired by studio photography.
Not to be forgotten
Nov 2020

Submission to Utapikollab, a community collaboration celebrating Utatane Piko's 10th anniversary.
Concept based on the forget-me-not flower. The canvas ratio is meant to emulate a song PV.
Absolute Survival Strategy
Sept 2020

Illustration for Patreon supporters. A homage to Mawaru Penguindrum, which has always been a great influence on my work. The composition explores Oginome Ringo's willing erasure of herself to attain happiness, a selfless act in pursuit of a selfish goal.
Mutual sweetness
Feb 2021

Personal illustration celebrating Valetine's Day. The flowers featured are dogwood and chimney bellflowers.
Epilogue to the Revue of Jealousy
July 2020

Illustration for Patreon supporters. An imagined aftermath where even the defeated bathes in light that shines only for her.
Land of the living dead
Feb 2020

Reimagining the characters Aradia Megido and Damara Megido of Homestuck in a Vietnamese identity. This can be considered a response to Homestuck's controversial approach to canon Asian identities.
3 o'clock in the afternoon / Under a solitary blue moon
June 2020
A piece based on the songs 'Gloomy Day' and 'Solitude's End' by Hikarisyuyo.
Multitude
May 2020

Part of the Tsubasa Chronicle challenge of 2020, for the prompt 'Syaoran'.
The second to last in a series illustrating Tsubasa characters as chess pieces, this piece explores the enigmatic nature of "Syaoran", and the concept of a protagonist who is disposable as they execute the narrative written by someone else.
TEAL CLUB
September 2019

Part of a zine dedicated to Tealbloods - the lawyer coded characters of Homestuck and Hiveswap. An enduring theme of Homestuck and Hiveswap's bloodcaste narrative is young people's struggles with what their society and communities expect them to do, and I love how it's demonstrated in the Teal caste - the ones burdened with power and duty to execute the law.
